Mogadishu (SD) – At least 15 people who have been injured in the recent suicide car bomb attack in the Somali capital, have been transported to Turkey for medical care today.

The transported wounded in the Mogadishu blast are said to be in the most serious need for medical attention.

The Turkish ambassador and officials from the Somali government were at hand to help the injured at Aden Adde International Airport for their send off to Turkey.

It is not the first time that the Turkish government has responded to such casualties in bombings and suicide attacks in Mogadishu, and there are a large number of patients who remain in Turkish hospitals who were injured in previous blasts in Mogadishu.
