UCID Chairman and Jubaland State president meet in Nairobi, both punching above their political height class

Hargeisa (SD) – Chairman of the opposition UCID party Eng. Feisal Ali Warabe, met with President of Somalia’s Jubaland state, Ahmed Mohamed Islam “Ahmed Madobe” in the Kenyan capital Nairobi.

The two were reported to have discussed issues of Somaliland and Somalia as well as political changes in the Horn of Africa.

Faisal Ali Warabe recently in a rare uncalculated political move supported Jubaland state President Ahmed Madobe and his government after the Somalia Federal Government imposed a political pressure on President Ahmed Madobe’s leadership in Jubaland.

The Jubaland Administration and the Somalia Government have a similar political stand against Somaliland’s independence and believe in Somalia’s unity.

The former Director of the Somaliland Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Mohamed Aden Ilkase, who recently attended the inauguration of President Ahmed Madobe in Kismayo, accompanied the UCID Chairman during his visit with the Jubaland President.

Both the Chairman and the state president don’t wheel any political powers to either affect the issues discussed and didn’t contribute any valuable discussions to the ever evolving political situations in the horn.

All and all, the UCID Chairman seems to have compromised his stands on independent Somaliland by meeting and dealing with a state level politician, cementing the ideology Somaliland, just like other states, is an state in Somalia, and has similar issues as other states have with the Federal Government of Somalia.

The Chairman, by meeting with Ahmed Madobe not just compromised the last patriotic leg he was standing on, but possible damaged Somaliland’s political sovereignty.
