UCID chairman urges Ethiopian Airline flights be canceled

Hargeisa (SD) – UCID party chairman Eng. Faisal Ali Warabe says flights from countries where Covid19 has been detected should be banned.

Chairman Faysal suggesting Ethiopian planes be banned said “ previously we go khat, marijuana and alcohol from Ethiopia, thank god we survived those, now that the Ethiopian flights are allowed to come in, the government have to do one of two things, quarantine everyone for the recommended fourteen days or cancel all flights”.

The chairman also talked about the political optics of banning the Ethiopian flights.

“if the flights are cancelled, the Mogadishu children didn’t do that, it was because of the Virus and we are making that decision, let us focus on the virus and not politics.” Said the chairman.

The Somali federal government who is currently in charged of the Somali airspace has banned all international flights, but the Ethiopian airlines seems to be flying to Hargeisa on its regularly scheduled flights.
