Mogadishu(SD)-The US military has announced that it has bombed the base of Kuunyo Barrow in Lower Shabelle region.

A press statement from the command said that, with the help of the Somali federal government, the US carried out airstrikes against Al Shabab.

The unidentified bombing killed one unnamed person, in a press release declaring that no civilians were killed or injured. 

The shelling is part of a series of bombings by the United States that have been targeting al-Shabaab in recent years.
