Garoowe(SD)-Puntland Vice President Ahmed Elmi Osman (Ahmed Karaash) has completely rejected the temporary election committee appointed by Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni.

A statement from the office of the vice president of Puntland, addressed to the House of Representatives and notified the Supreme Court and the Attorney General of the state read that the vice president was not consulted on the nomination of the Puntland Electoral Commission.

The vice president rejected the nomination of the Puntland Electoral Commission, as he said it is not in line with the Puntland Constitution witch states that the vice president should be consulted.

The announcement comes a day latter the appointment of a nine electoral commission for Puntland by President Said Deni.
