Mogadishu(SD)-The president of the Somali government today met with a delegation led by World Bank Vice President Hafez Ghanem.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khayre, Finance Minister Abdirahman Duale Beyle, Minister of Planning Hon Jamal Mohamed Hassan and Presidential Director Dr. Nur Dirie Hirsi (Fursade).

The World Bank delegation included Vice President of the World Bank for Africa, Hafez Ghanem, Regional Director for the International Fund for Africa, Ms. Jumake Jagun-Doknmu, Director of World Bank Operations at the African Union Hon. Anne Kabagambe, President of the World Bank in Somalia Mrs. Puteri Watson.

Somali federal government has been trying to get dept. relief from the World Bank, and seems to be making headway.
