LONDON (SD) – Somali-UK politicians have won a numerous councillor seats in the London municipal elections.
The London Municipal elections saw the largest number of Somalis being elected to local councils.
There are about 13 Somali-born councillors reportedly elected in London, all of whom are said to have been nominated by the opposition Labor Party.
Britain’s ruling Conservative party lost Key constituencies to the Labor Party in yesterday’s municipal elections.
The vote is said to be a test case for the re-election of UK MP Boris Johnson and his ruling party the Conservatives.
