MOGADISHU (SD) – Somalia’s Presidential Election Commission has announced the Procedures and Requirements for Somali Presidential Candidates.
Candidates vying for the country’s top post are required to fulfill nine nomination conditions, if successful, will receive a certificate of candidacy.
The requirements also include the Candidate Recommendation Letter and the Certificate of Completion of the Candidate Requirements, Receipt Certificate and the Acceptance and Compliance Act.
The Electoral Commission has informed the Presidential Candidates to complete all the requirements as soon as possible, in order to be awarded the Certificate of Candidacy.
Registration of presidential candidates is set to begin tomorrow in Mogadishu, and the election is scheduled to take place on the 15th of this month, as the election campaign for the presidency of the Federal Republic of Somalia is underway.
