A Kenya-Somaliland parliamentary Caucus held it’s inaugural meeting in Nairobi

Nairobi (SD) – A large meeting to inaugurate the relationship between the two parliaments of Kenya and Somaliland was held in the Kenyan’s capital Nairobi.

The meeting was organized by a number of members of the Kenyan parliament and the Somaliland Liaison office in Kenya and was attended by Somaliland’s acting foreign minister Liban Yusuf Osman.

The event was well attended by a host of leaders across the Kenya Government. The Kenya members of parliament intend to lobby the Kenya government to lobby for Somaliland across the continent, according to Somaliland’s Ambassador to Kenya Amb. Bashe Awil Haji Omar.

Caucus Chairperson MP Sofia Abdi Noor said “ The establishment of this caucus demonstrates Kenya parliament’s support for Somaliland and the importance it places on its relationship with the Horn of Africa country “
