Garowe (SD – Puntland Minister of State Mohamed Hassan Isse, has reported died at a hospital in Garowe this morning, after contracting the Coronavirus.

The minister had been ill for the past three days, according to close relatives who spoke to local media.

A statement from the Vice president of the Puntland State of Somalia Ahmed Elmi Karash sent his condolences to the family of the deceased Minister and the Somali people.

This is the second time that a minister has died of COVID-19 in Puntland, it was May of this year when Puntland’s Minister of Agriculture, the late Ismail Gama’did, died of Coronavirus.
