Abdullahi Black elected MP in Southwest

BAIDOA (SD) – Abdullahi Adan Ahmed (Black) has been elected as MP in a landslide vote in the ongoing elections in the South West state.

The seat HOP193 contested contested by Abdikadir Mohamed Ali (Engineer Bashi) and Abdullahi Adan Ahmed (Black).

Black garnered 66 votes while his opponent Engineer Bashi got 31 votes. Three votes were spoilt.

Seat HOP193 was held by the late Mohamud Mohamed Bono in the 10th parliament.

The South West Administration has so far elected 10 seats, with Jubbaland, Hir-Shabelle and Puntland administrations yet to begin holding Parliamentary elections.
