MOGADISHU (SD) – A landmine blast targeted a convoy of AMISOM peacekeepers IN Mogadishu’s Hawa Abdi area.

According to reports, the explosion was said to have been hit by one of the vehicles driven by AMISOM troops.

Al Shabaab told local media that the explosion targeted truck carrying supplies for AMISOM troops, killing one soldier.

Al Shabab are known for increased attacks on the holy month of Ramadan.

AMISOM forces have not yet commented on the Al Shabaab claims and the explosion on the road between Mogadishu and Afgoye.
