Garisa December 06, 2022 (SD) – An attack carried out by the Al Shabaab group in Kenya targeted soldiers traveling on the outskirts of Garisa.

The attack on the convoy in the Yunbis region have not been independently verified.

Al Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack, adding they’ve inflicted widespread damage to the KDF forces.

Meanwhile, the Kenyan army said they foiled the attack and are after those who carried out the attack.

Al-Shabaab, which opposes the presence of Kenyan troops in Somalia, has repeatedly carried out attacks inside Kenya.
