Beledweyne (SD) – Al-Shabab fighters reportedly attacked AMISOM forces in Hiran region resulting in casualties

Media outlets supporting al-Shabaab fighters have reported that an AMISOM official from Djibouti was killed by the militants, releasing his name.

Reports indicated that the officer held the rank of captain, and that his names was Osman. They also alleged that three other injured soldiers were evacuated out by air.

There are no independent information on how and where this battle took place.

AMISOM and the Djibouti government has not yet commented on last night’s attack and the other Al-Shabab claims, residents however said they heard heavy gunfire last night.
