Mogadishu (SD) – The AMISOM Force Commander, Brigadier General Diomede Ndegeya, today met with all six AMISOM Force sector Commanders to discuss a number of issues including strengthening security as part of the fight against terrorism.

The virtual meeting attended by the six AMISOM commanders focused on the planning process for reconfiguring of the mission and how to implement the rehabilitation process in the fight against al-Shabab.

AMISOM officials also discussed security measures for the upcoming elections in Somalia.

The AMISOM force in Somalia play a major role in fighting terrorism with the support of the Somali National Army.
