MOGADISHO (SD) – A landmine explosion near the Ali Kamin intersection in Wardhiigley district, targeted a convoy of ATMIS troops.

Residents in the area reported that the blast was heard as ATMIS military vehicles were passing by, and the explosion destroyed of one of the military vehicles.

After the explosion, the ATMIS forces opened fire, the forces conducted a brief operation there, and later the ATMIS forces left the scene and continued their march.

ATMIS troops traveling in and around Mogadishu are attacked with landmine explosions, with the troops responding with heavy fire and causing damage to civilians.

It is not yet known the extent of the damage caused by the mine explosion, and there is no update from the security agencies about this explosion.
