MOGADISHU (SD) – The Arab countries have uniformly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the Damanyo military camp in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, which resulted in deaths and numerous injuries.
The governments of Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Egypt strongly denounced this attack in official statements.
The Kuwaiti government stated that it strongly condemns the attack, while reaffirming its clear stance against all forms of violence and terrorism.
The statements also emphasized the importance of unifying international efforts to combat terrorist organizations and anything that threatens the stability of the region and the world.
A suicide bomber infiltrated and then detonated himself among large numbers of youth who were lined up for registration with government forces at the Damanyo camp. More than 10 people were killed at the scene, while others were wounded.
