Banadir Regional Court Summons the National Auditor General Over Alleged Judicial Interference

MOGADISHU (SD)The Banadir Regional Court has summoned the National Auditor General, accusing him of direct interference in court files and attempting to influence judicial decisions.

A statement from the Chief Judge of the Banadir Regional Court ordered Ahmed Isse Gutale to appear in court on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM, to respond to allegations made by the Office of the Attorney General.

In response, Ahmed Isse Gutale issued a press statement denying the accusations, indicating a dispute between the two institutions over adherence to the law.
The Auditor General’s Office stated:

Annual compliance audits for 2024 include judicial institutions as part of routine government oversight.
The office had officially notified the Banadir Regional Court, the Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court about the compliance audit process.
