Hargeisa (SD) – The Somaliland National Committee for the Prevention of COVID-19 has today received a monetary donation from Djibouti businessman Abdirahman Boore.

The Somaliland Vice President and Chairman of the COVID-19 Prevention Committee received the donation of a $ 100,000.00 from Abdirahman Boore’s Representative in the country.

Also the director of the National Preparedness and Food Administration Faysal Ali Sheikh also received $ 70,000.00 worth of food donation from the Djiboutian businessman’s Representative.

Businessman Boore is associated with large businesses in Somaliland, most notable the Berbera DP World deal between Somaliland and Dubai based company.

Boore is well known for his volatile on again of again business dealings with Djibouti, a major port competitor in the Horn Africa.
