Garowe (SD) – Reports from Puntland’s capital Garowe indicates that militia suspected to be Kat smugglers attacked the main Police station tonight.

The news, not official yet is trending on social media, with witnesses posting unverifiable images of the gun fight.

The attack comes after the city’s police authorities confiscated a large amount of smuggled illegal Kat from, upsetting the drug traders and leading to the alleged attack.

There are reported casualties of the attack of the main police station in the city.

The Puntland authorities recently in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the regional state banned Kat imports into the region.
