Lasanod (SD) – The Speaker of the Somaliland House of Representatives Bashe Mohamed Farah, who is spearheading the voter registration campaign in Somaliland, has today arrived in Las Anod, the capital of Sool region.
Speaking to some of the community members who took part in his reception, Bashe said they had come to persuade the people of the Sool region to take part in the voter registration process in Somaliland.
He also told the community living in Las Anod to register or move out of the region, noted that the region is under Somaliland’s general control.
Bashe is currently the unelected speaker of parliament and was never elected, due to Sool regions rejecting the country’s election process.
The speaker of the Somaliland parliament is one of the Sool officials who failed to convince the people of his constituency to accept Somaliland.
