Mogadishu (SD) – The Chinese Embassy in Mogadishu has responded to the recent bilateral relationship between Somaliland and Taiwan, an independent region that China that claims to be part of that country.

The Chinese Embassy without naming Somaliland’s relationship with Taiwan, in Tweet vowed that it would not tolerate anyone separating Chinese territory.

The Chinese embassy’s statement followed the announcement of the relationship between Somaliland and Taiwan.

Taiwan has succeeded to forge official diplomatic relations with only 15 countries in the world, due China’s intense political objection to Taiwanese independence.

The Somali Federal Government is yet to comment on the matter, Mogadishu has recently restarted reconciliation talks with Hargeisa and its likely that Villa Somalia will condemn the move.
