Mogadishu (SD) – The Chinese ambassador to Somalia once again spoke indirectly about Taiwan’s relationship with the Somaliland, as the two countries established diplomatic relationship.
China and Somalia agree that the relationship is illegal, as both countries believe Taiwan and Somaliland are part of their territories.
Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, Amb. Qin Jian reiterated that Taiwan is a part of mainland China on a recent tweet.
Relations between Somaliland and Taiwan have been opposed by China and Somalia, and tensions appear to be escalating again, as Taiwan has officially opened an office in Hargeisa, despite Chinese opposition.
