MOGADISHU (SD) – Somalia’s Civil Society Election Situation Room expressed concern over the growing political tensions surrounding the upcoming elections especially the Parliamentary elections which are in their final stages.

A statement from the group said it was closely following the latest developments that have affected the electoral process.

Somalia’s Civil Society Election Situation Room is concerned about the approach of the country’s political leadership to the completion of the electoral process, and it appears that the political leaders are putting each other’s interests ahead of the common good.
