Custodial corps chief survives blast attack in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU (SD) – Somali custodial corps commander, Mahad Abdirahman Adan on Thursday escaped unhurt after his convoy hit by landmine in Mogadishu.

Sources say the blast targeted the convoy along KM4 area in the city centre.

Initial reports confirmed death of one person and injuries of three others.

Al-Shabaab claimed the responsibility for the attack.

The attack would be the second against government official in the last 48 hours.

Tuesday night, Sadak Adan Dodishe, the spokesperson for the police survived a similar attack in Mogadishu.

One civilian was killed and two others sustained injuries.
