Mogadishu (SD) – Diplomats and staff from the Somali Immigration and Nationality Agency at the Somali Embassy in Nairobi returned home this morning.
The staff were carrying out an order from the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs last week to return to the country within seven days, as the Somali government cut ties with Kenya on the 15th of this month.
The Somali embassy in Nairobi has been closed, in line with the Somali government’s decision to cut ties with Kenya.
The leaders of Djibouti and Ethiopia, who mediated the presidents of Somalia and Kenya, have succeeded in persuading the two countries to restore relations, calm the situation and end hostile media attacks.
Despite the reason talks between Somali and Kenyan leaders in Djibouti at the IGAD meeting sidelines, the two countries relationship continuous to deuterate.
