MOGADISHU (SD) – The Secretary-General of the East African Community (EAC), Ms. Veronica Mueni Nduva, has highly praised Somalia’s dynamic role within the EAC, particularly highlighting the efforts of the Office of the Auditor General of the Federal Republic of Somalia (OAG-FRS) during the EAC Institutional Financial Audit Review.
The commendation came after the Auditor General of Somalia, Mr. Ahmed Ese Gutale, officially participated in the 47th Meeting of the EAC Council of Ministers, held in Arusha, Tanzania.
During the meeting, the EAC Audit Commission presented its Annual Financial Audit Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, where the OAG-FRS was specially recognized for its contributions and support.

The Office of the Auditor General of Somalia has intensified efforts to enhance cooperation with regional and international institutions to improve financial transparency and accountability in the region. Strengthen Somalia’s position in the global financial governance landscape.
This acknowledgment underscores Somalia’s growing influence in the EAC and its commitment to good governance and fiscal integrity.
