Addis Ababa (SD) – Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has held elections related talks yesterday with Ethiopian security forces and the country’s electoral commission.
Ethiopia will hold its sixth general election today, with the hope of these elections being the most democratic yet.
The PM’s special meeting with Ethiopian security and intelligence agencies was to strengthen the security of today’s elections.
The Ethiopian Electoral Commission (SEC) has succefully distributed ballot papers and ballot boxes to all the regions ahead of the today general elections in Ethiopia.
In some parts of the Somali region of Ethiopia, the electoral commission has previously stated that the elections will be held at a later date.
