Hargeisa (SD) – A delegation led by the head of Ethiopia’s Somali state security Dr. Hussein Hashi Qasim, who is currently in Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland, and has held separate meetings with Somaliland officials, has agreed to work together on key issues concerning the two fraternal peoples.

Muse Bihi, who received the delegation at the presidential palace, said that the Somali region is a strong bridge that can connect the regions, governments and peoples of the Horn of Africa.

For his part, DDS security chief Dr. Hussein Hashi Qasim, who spoke at the meeting, praised the progress and security in Somaliland, and the two sides agreed on working together on border security, fighting terrorism and to control the flow of illegal weapons between the two countries.

The Ethiopian Somali state delegation later returned to the regional capital of Jigjiga.
