Mogadishu April 26, 2023 (SD) -The European Union has announced a project worth 4.5 million euros aimed at rebuilding areas previously controlled by Al-Shabaab in Somalia.
The project aims to provide security and stability to the areas through the construction of police stations, installation of water wells, and repair of damaged roads.
In addition, the project will facilitate dialogue between communities in the areas and will involve meetings between locals and officials from the government and civil society organizations.
The project will be implemented in several states including Galmudug, Hirshabelle, Koonfur Galbeed, and Jubaland. The project will initially target cities such as Xarardheere, Ceel dheer, Maxaas, Matabaan, Teedaan, Raage-Cele, and Aadan Yabal.
