Mogadishu (SD) – An explosion that took place last night in the km4 area of Mogadishu is said to have caused various casualties.
A landmine planted near a mosque at the Km4 junction, targeted a bullet prove vehicle witnesses told local media.
At least one person died in the explosion, while at least three other people were injured, according to eyewitnesses.
Heavy damage was also inflicted on businesses that were very close to the site of the blast.
Members of the capital police force were seen conducting an investigation at the scene of the blast.
The scene of last night’s blast is adjacent to the Hotel Afrik, which was targeted by Al Shabab last week were several people were killed.
