Garowe (SD) – Members of the Somali parliament who hail from Puntland state and have attended the Puntland consultation conference in Garowe opposed the federal ministers characterisation of the conference.
The lawmakers said the ministers did not represent them and that they didn’t share their opinion of the conference.
The federal MP’s who attended the Garowe consultation said the federal ministers were involved in drafting the final communiqué.
The lawmakers said that Villa Somalia was behind the minister’s criticism on the consultative conference’s press release yesterday.
On the other hand, the federal MPs greatly welcomed the Puntland conference and its outcome.
Puntland State is in a political spat with the Somali Federal Government on multiple issues regarding jurisdictional roles.
