KISMAYO (SD)-Today, Members of Parliament from both Houses of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, whose electoral constituency is Jubaland, arrived in the interim capital of Jubaland, Kismayo.

Officials from the Jubbaland administration welcomed these Members of Parliament at Kismayo Airport.

The MPs arrived in Kismayo in response to a call from Jubbaland President Ahmed Madobe, who convened a consultative meeting to discuss the political situation of the country and Jubbaland.

President Ahmed Madobe has recently returned from a meeting of the National Consultative Council, and he plans to hold an election that the Federal Government of Somalia does not approve of.
