MOGADISHU (SD) The Commander of the Somali Police Force, Major General Asad Osman Abdullahi, held a meeting today in Mogadishu with experts from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Commander Asad discussed with the FBI experts how they could contribute to training Somali police officers and enhancing the police force’s reform efforts.

The FBI representatives praised the efforts to accelerate the development and modernization of the Somali Police Force’s operational procedures.

They promised to provide full support and cooperation to the Somali police force, including assistance with training and equipment.

The U.S. FBI is one of the agencies supporting the Somali police in counter-terrorism and internal security efforts.
