MOGADISHU (SD) – A press release issued by members of both Houses of the Somali Federal Parliament whose electoral constituencies are in Puntland strongly supported the planned election in the Jubaland administration.

These 26 parliamentarians also firmly opposed the term extension that the Federal Government of Somalia granted to the regional states and the plan to implement a one-person, one-vote and party-based elections.

The members accused the Federal Government of Somalia of creating political and security turmoil in the Puntland and Jubaland regions.

They warned Villa Somalia against taking actions that would undermine the security and stability of these two federal states.
