MOGADISHU (SD) – After a series of meetings held over a while between officials from the Ministry of Finance and representatives of medical professionals and hospitals in the country, a fruitful outcome was officially announced today. It was declared that the taxes on health services provided by hospitals and health centers have been abolished.
The Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Abdikafar Cilmi Xaange, who is also the acting Finance Minister, provided details about the meetings with the medical professionals and their associations. He emphasized that a full agreement was reached regarding the tax policies and the necessary framework for hospitals.
On the other hand, the medical professionals who attended the meeting confirmed their commitment to collaborating with the Ministry and serving the community, stating that such cooperation is crucial for the progress of Somali society. They also expressed gratitude for the Ministry’s initiative.
