MOGADISHU (SD) -Minister of Religious Affairs of the federal government of Somalia Sheikh Mukhtar Robow today concluded a joint meeting with the Ministries of Religious Affairs of the Federal Member States (FMS) held in Mogadishu.
The five-day conference in Mogadishu focused on collaboration in combating the ideology of Al-Shabaab, discussing ways to counter extremist ideology in the country effectively.
Discussions also addressed the prevention and eradication of extremism and terrorism, with the participation of religious scholars, elders, women, and youth.
Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Somalia, Abukar Jelani, speaking at the conference, said, “Somali scholars have a big responsibility in countering extremism.
