Airstrike in Somalia targets foreign fighters

MOGADISHU (SD) -Reports from the Middle Jubba region say that today an airstrike targeting members of the Al-Shabaab group took place in the Arabow area, where many members were killed.

The strike was reported to have happened during a meeting attended by Al-Shabaab commanders, resulting in casualties and injuries.

Reports suggest that those killed in the strike included foreign militants, while others were locals.

Furthermore, sources suggest that up to 20 militants may have been killed in the strike, which took place in the Carabow area.

Following the clash, there were reports of military vehicles and military activity by Al-Shabaab in the Carabow area, where the strike occurred.

The situation remains tense, with no official statement yet from the federal government of Somalia regarding the shelling, and casualties are said to include both militants and Al-Shabaab commanders.
