Washington (SD) – Amb. Timbor Nagy, the former US Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, US Ambassador to Guinea and Ethiopia, suggested that Somaliland should participate at a Democracy Summit, to be hosted by the President of the United States on the 9th of this month.
The Summit, he said, will be attended by 111 countries, including 17 African countries, but he would like Somaliland to be included in the invited countries just like Taiwan.
Timbor Nagy, who supports Somaliland’s quest for recognition, has previously said that countries such as Somalia are learning democracy in Somaliland.
