GALGADUD (SD) – Galmudug state Darwish forces have carried out an operation in Godyanyo area in the south of Mudug region last night.

The troops reportedly destroyed a vehicle allegedly loaded with explosives by Al Shabaab during the operation.

The Galmudug Darwish troops also killed members of Al-Shabaab in the operation, according to released statement.

Darawish and Qararow officials confirmed to the national media that the operation took place at midnight last night, eliminating explosions intended to harm civilians.

Last week, the 21st Division of the Somali National Army and Galmudug forces seized a truck loaded with explosives and its occupants, who are currently under investigation.

The federal government and Galmudug forces detonated the explosives, adding that the military officials will intensify operations.
