MOGADISHU (SD) – Chairman of the Federal Electoral Commission Muse Guelleh Yusuf said the swearing in of members of both houses of the Somali Federal Parliament will take place on April 14th, next Thursday.
The statement came after Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble met with the chairman of the Federal Electoral Commission (FEIT) and the secretaries of both houses of the Federal Parliament of Somalia.
The Chairman, accompanied by the Speaker, the Vice-Chairman of the FEIT Committee and the Secretaries-General of both Houses of Parliament inspected Aficiooni camp were the scheduled for the swearing-in ceremony will take place.
Chairman of the Federal Electoral Commission Muse Guelleh Yusuf called on elected lawmakers who have not yet received their certificates to register as soon as possible.
Chairman Muse Guelleh Yusuf’s statement comes as more than 200 lawmakers received certificates and ID cards, and the committee is expected to swear in members of both houses of the 11th parliament on April 14, 2022.
