JAMAME (SD) – The Somali and the Jubbaland regional forces in an operation in the Lower Jubba region have killed members of Al Shabaab and captured other fighters.

Officials leading the operation, confirmed they killed about ten al-Shabaab fighters and injured another number of other areas in the area of Jamame.

Federal and Jubbaland military officials also presented six men said to be members of al-Shabaab militants who were captured during the operation.

Somali military and Jubbaland forces are planning joint operations against Al Shabab militants in Lower Jubba region.
