Hargeisa (SD) – The Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Djibouti Ms. Hibo Mumin with a large delegation arrived today in Somaliland’s capital Hargeisa.
The delegation from the Republic of Djibouti is in Hargeisa to attend the Hargeisa International Book Fair which will open on the 24th of July at the Hargeisa Cultural Center.
The Djiboutian delegation was welcomed at Egal Airport in Hargeisa by Somaliland’s Minister of Information, Culture and Awareness Saleban Yusuf Ali Kore and Somaliland’s Deputy Foreign Minister and Acting Minister Liban Yusuf Osman.
The delegation was also welcomed by the Director of Hargeisa Cultural Centre and the Organizer of the Hargeisa International Book Fair Dr. Jama Musse Jama.
There are other delegates from neighboring countries such as the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia, who arrived in Hargeisa to attend the Hargeisa Book Fair tomorrow.
The Hargeisa International Book Fair is the largest of it’s kind in the Horn of Africa, showcasing enormous collection of literature and culture from the Somali and international persuasions.
The 14th Hargeisa International Book Fair will run from the 24th to the 29th, this year guest nation is Ethiopia and the theme is Neighborhood.
