MINNEAPOLIS (SD) – Somali-born US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar wrote to President Joe Biden’s administration calling for a review of the 2010 and 2012 sanctions against Somalia, which remain in place.

The Congresswoman asked the Biden administration what role sanctions play in US policy towards Somalia, since the the situation in Somalia has changed dramatically.
