Galkayo (SD) – Jamaal Farah Adan, a journalist working in Puntland, was shot dead in northern Galkayo last night.
Eyewitness reports confirm that Jamaal was killed while at his place of business, and was shot by two armed youths who pretended to be shoppers.
Puntland security forces arrived at the scene of the crime and were seen conducting an investigation into the killing.
The perpetrators also injured a second man named Tarabi in the attack, he is been treated at Galkayo hospital.
The well known journalist was working at Puntland’s independent radio station Daljir.
It is not yet known why the journalist was targeted and who was behind the killing.
