KISMAYO (SD) – Last night, the Jubaland Election Commission officially announced the schedule and procedures for the parliamentary and presidential elections in Jubaland.

The commission stated that the list of new Members of Parliament for Jubaland will be released between the 18th and 19th of November, while the election for the Speaker of the Jubaland Parliament will be held on the 21st of this month.

Additionally, the commission announced that applications for presidential candidates will be accepted from the 21st to the 23rd of this month, with the presidential election scheduled to take place on the 25th of November, as per the schedule released by the commission.

The commission also disclosed the procedures and criteria for selecting Members of Parliament and the presidential election in Jubaland, providing detailed explanations of the electoral process.
