MOGADISHU (SD) -The Federal Government of Somalia has officially joined the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), an international organization advocating for environmental issues and global climate change.
Somalia has become a full member of this important coalition, which will aid in strengthening plans related to green economic development, environmental protection, and climate change adaptation.
Ambassador Khadija Mohamed the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, who represented Somalia in this agreement, emphasized the significance of this partnership as a crucial step towards achieving our goals for a greener future.
The Government of Somalia has previously joined various organizations working on global climate change and has also received financial support from organizations and agencies focused on preventing its impacts.
