Jubaland police arrest man for spreading shocking allegations on Tiktok

KISMAYO (SD) – Jubaland police have last night arrested a young man for posting a shocking video that went viral on Tik Tok.

The young man posted a video on Tik Tok claiming that there was a man living in Kismayo who married his daughter and has kids with her.

The man was arrested in Dhobley, Lower Jubba, and flown to Kismayo, the interim capital of Jubbaland, where he is currently being detained.

Jubaland police said that when they learned of the allegations, they immediately launched an investigation, and it became clear that the allegations were false.

“The matter was investigated by the Jubbaland Police and turned out to be baseless,” a Police statement said.

A confession recorded in prison, the young man named Abdirizak Abdullahi Nur admits that the information he had previously posted on Tiktok was false.

Police have warned young people not to post or share anti-Islamic or things that are against the Somali culture on social media.
