Nairobi (SD) – Parliamentarian Adan Barre Duale, leader of Kenya’s parliamentary majority was sacked, after losing the confidence of the majority of MPs in the country.
Aden Barre Duale, has been replaced by lawmaker Amos Kimunya, according to local media reports in Kenya.
The move was expected, since more than 130 MPs passed a motion against the MP to Kenya’s president Uhuru Kenyatta, who is also the leader of the ruling Jubilee party.
Adan Barre held the majority leader position of the Kenyan parliament since the 2013 elections, but faced lots uncertainty recently.
Adan Barre Duale, a Somali Kenyan from the north-eastern region of the country, is one of the more active members of the ruling Jubilee party.
