NAIROBI (SD) – Kenya has announced it will be selling two Somali Airforce aircraft which had been lying in Nairobi unclaimed for many years.
The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority said in a statement the aircraft, which are part of several others will be auctioned on November 17.
Each of the aircraft will be sold for $730, the KCAA said.
The 3C-ZZZ registered aircraft are Russian made and were in use during the Siad Barre administration.
During that period, Somalia had received military support from both the US and Russia.
